CHARITABLE AND RELIGIOUS TRUSTS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1987

An Act further to amend the Charitable and Religious Trusts Act, 1920

Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Charitable and Religious Trusts Act, 1920 (XIV of 1920), for the purpose hereinafter appearing;

It is hereby enacted as follows:--

1. Short title and commencement.- -(1) This Act may be called the Charitable and Religious Trusts (Amendment) Act, 1987.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

2. Substitution of section 12, Act XIV of 1920.---- In the Charitable and Religious Trusts Act, 1920 (XIV of 1920), for section 12 the following shall be substituted, namely:--

"12.-- Appeal.--Any person aggrieved by an order passed , or direction given under this Act, may, within ninety days of the date of such order or, direction prefer an appeal to the High Court."
