CHIEF EXECUTIVE'S ORDER 27 OF 2002

RULES OF PROCEDURE AND CONDUCT OF BUSINESS IN THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 2002

An Order further to amend the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly, 1992

F.No.2(4)/2002-Pub. dated 20-9-2002.---The following Order promulgated by the Chief Executive is hereby published for general information:--

Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly, 1992 for the purposes hereinafter appearing;

Whereas general elections to the National Assembly and the Provincial Assemblies are scheduled to be held on October 10, 2002 and to the Senate on November 12, 2002.

And whereas it is necessary to provide for a smooth and orderly transition;

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the Proclamation of Emergency of the Fourteenth day of October, 1999, the Provisional Constitution Order No. 1 of 1999, and in exercise of all the powers enabling him in that behalf, the Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is pleased to make and promulgate the following Order: --

1. Short title and commencement. ---(1) This Order may be called the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly (Amendment) Order, 2002.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

**2. Amendment of rule 9(2).--**In the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly, 1992, in rule 9, in sub-rule (2), for the word "member", the word "person" shall be substituted.
