CONDUCT OF GENERAL ELECTIONS

(TENTH AMENDMENT)

ORDER, 2002

CHIEF EXECUTIVE'S ORDER 38 OF 2002

An Order further to amend the Conduct of General Elections Order, 2002

F. No. 2(4)/2002-Pub., dated 20-11-2002.---The following Order promulgated by the Chief Executive is -hereby published for general information:-

Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Conduct of General Elections Order, 2002 (Chief Executive's Order 7 of 2002), for the purpose hereinafter appearing;

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the Proclamation of Emergency of the Fourteenth day of October, 1999 and the Provisional Constitution Order 1 of 1999, and in exercise of all powers enabling him to that behalf, The Chief Executive of the Islamic republic of Pakistan is pleased to make and promulgate the following Order:--

1. Short title and commencement. - --(1) This Order may be called the Conduct of General Elections (Tenth Amendment) Order, 2002.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

2. Amendment of Article 8B, Chief Executive's Order 7 of 2002.----- In the Conduct of General Elections Order, 2002 (Chief Executive's- Order 7 of 2002), hereinafter referred to as the said Order, in Article 8B, in clause (1), for paragraph (b), the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"(b) eight shall be elected from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, in such manner as the President may, by Order, prescribe;"

**3. Omission of Article 8C, Chief Executive's Order 7 of 2002.---**In the said Order, Article 8C shall be omitted.
