CIVIL SERVICES (QUALIFICATION, FOR APPOINTMENT

AS HIGH COURT JUDGE) (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1988

ACT I OF 1988

An Act further to amend the Civil Services (Qualification

for Appointment as High Court Judge) Act, 1965

The following Act of Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament) received the assent of the President on the 9th February, 1988, and is hereby published for general information:---

Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Civil Services (Qualification for Appointment as High Court Judge) Act, 1965 (XXI of 1965) , for the purpose hereinafter appearing;

It is hereby enacted as follow:--

1. Short title and commencement.-- (1) This Act may be called the Civil Services (Qualification for Appointment as High Court Judge) (Amendment) Act, 1988.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

2. Amendment of section 2, Act XXI of 1965.-- In the Civil Services (Qualification for Appointment as High Court Judge) Act, 1965 (XXI of 1965), in section 2,--

(a) in the marginal heading, for the letters "CSP" the words and letters "certain Groups of APUG" shall be substituted; and

(b) for the words "Civil Service of Pakistan" the words and commas "Secretariat Group and District Management Group of the All-Pakistan Unified Grades, and the successors of the said Groups from time to time," shall be substituted.
