PRESIDENT'S ORDER 10 OF 1985

JUDGES (LEAVE, PENSION AND PRIVILEGES) (AMENDMENT)

ORDER, 1985

No. F. 17(3)/85-Pub.-The following Order made by the President is hereby published for general information : -

Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Supreme Court Judges (Leave, Pension and Privileges) Order, 1968 (P. O. No. 1 of 1968), and the High Court Judges (Leave, Pension and Privileges) Order, 1970 (P. O No. 9 of 1970), for the purposes hereinafter appearing ;

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the Proclamation of the fifth day of July, 1977, and in exercise of all powers enabling him in that behalf, the President is pleased to make the following Order :-

1. Short title and commencement.--(1) This Order may be called the Judges (Leave, Pension and Privileges) (Amendment) Order, 1985.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

**2. Amendment of paragraph 22-B, P. O. No. 1 of 1968.-**In the Supreme Court Judges (Leave, Pension and Privileges) Order, 1968 (P. O. No. 1 of 1968), paragraph 22-B shall be renumbered as sub-paragraph (1) of that paragraph and, after sub-paragraph (1) renumbered as aforesaid, the following new sub-paragraph shall be added, namely :-

"(2) A car provided for the use of a Judge shall be used by him until he retires, subject to its replacement earlier, either because of its having completed the specified number of years of service or distance to be covered or of its having become unserviceable in accordance with the rules.".

**3. Amendment of paragraph 22-B, P. O. No. 9 of 1979.-**In the High Court Judges (Leave, Pension and Privileges) Order, 1970 (P. O. No. 9 of 1970), paragraph 22-B shall be renumbered as sub-paragraph (1) of that paragraph and, after sub-paragraph (1) renumbered as aforesaid, the following new sub-paragraph shall be added, namely :-
