PRESIDENT'S ORDER 13 OF 1985

JUDGES (LEAVE, PENSION AND PRIVILEGES) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1985

No. F. 17(3)/85-Pub.-The following Order, make by the President, is hereby published for general information :-

Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Supreme Court Judges (Leave, Pension and Privileges) Order, 1968 (P. O. No. 1 of 1968), and the High Court Judges (Leave, Pension and Privileges) Order, 1970 (P. O. No. 9 of 1970), for the purposes hereinafter appearing ;

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the Proclamation of the fifth day of July, 1977, and in exercise of all powers enabling him in that behalf, the President is pleased to make the following Order :-

**1. Short title and commencement.--**This Order may be called the Judges (Leave, Pension and Privileges) (Amendment) Order, 1985.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

**2. Amendment of P. O. No. 1 of 1968.--**In the Supreme Court Judges (Leave, Pension and Privileges) Order, (P. O. No. 1 of 1968).-

(1) in paragraph 15, in sub-paragraph (b),-

(a) for the words. "one hundred" the words "one hundred and fifteen" and for the words "four hundred" the words "four hundred and sixty" shall be substituted and shall be deemed to have been so substituted on the first day of July, 1983 : and

(b) in the proviso, for the words "three thousand" the words "three thousand and six hundred" and for the words "four thousand" the words "four thousand and six hundred" shall be substituted and shall be deemed to have been so substituted on the first day of July, 1983 ;

(2) in paragraph 16, for the words "three hundred" the words "three hundred forty-five", for the words "three thousand" the words "three thousand and six hundred" and for the words "four thousand" the words "four thousand and six hundred" shall tie substituted and shall be deemed to have been so substituted on the first day of July, 1983 ;

(3) in paragraph 22-A, in sub-paragraph (2), for the words "one thousand and five hundred" the words "two thousand" shall be sub stituted and shall, be deemed to have been so substituted on the first day of July, 1983 ; and

(4) for the SCHEDULE the following shall be substituted and shall be deemed to have been so substituted on the first day of July, 1983, namely :-

**2. Amendment of P. O. No. 9 of 1970.--**In the High Court Judges (Leave, Pension and Privileges) Order, 1970 (P. O. No. 9 of 1970),--

(1) in paragraph 22-A, in sub-paragraph (2), for the words "one thousand and five hundred" the words "two thousand" shall be substituted and shall be deemed to have been so substituted on the first day of July, 1983 ;

(2) in the First Schedule,-

(a) in Part I, in sub-paragraph (a ),--

(i) for the words ` two thousand one hundred" the words "two thousand and four hundred" shall be substituted and shall be deemed to have been so substituted on the first day of July, 1983 ;

(ii) for the words "two hundred" the words "two hundred and thirty three" shall be substituted and shall be deemed to have been so substituted on the first-day of July, 1983 ; and

(iii) for the words "three thousand six hundred" the words "four thousand and two hundred" shall be substituted and shall be deemed to have been so substituted on the first day of July, 1983 ; and

(b) in Part II, in sub-paragraph (b),-

(i) for the words "two hundred" the words "two hundred and thirty three" shall be substituted and shall be deemed to have been so substituted on the first day of July, 1983 ; and

(ii) for the words "three thousand six hundred" the words "four thousand and two hundred" shall be substituted and shall be deemed to have been so substituted on the first day of July, 1983 ; and

(3) for the SECOND SCHEDULE the following shall be substituted and shall be deemed to have been so substituted on the first day of July, 1983, namely :-
