No. 125

Whereas it is expedient in the public interest to provide for measures to control the acquisition of land, constructions of all descriptions and costs and rents thereof within the Lahore Cantonment boundaries (hereinafter referred to as the said boundaries).

Therefore, I, Lt.-General Bakhtiar Rana, SQA, MC, ADC, Martial Law Administrator, Zone `B', hereby order as under :

(1) No civilian person, company or association will be allowed to reside or acquire land within the said boundaries under any terms or con ditions or construct any building without the prior permission and approval of the General Officer Commanding 10 Division. The rent charges of the existing houses and those that may be constructed in future will be assessed according to the rules to be laid down by General Officer Commanding 10 Division.

(2) Any person who contravenes or attempts to contravene or abets the contravention of any order issued in pursuance of this Order shall be liable to be punished under C.M.L.A Regulation No. 16 (a).

(3) No provision of this Order shall be called in question in any Court including the High Court and the Supreme Court. No suit or legal proceedings shall lie against any person or authority in respect of anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done in pursuance of this Order.
